While we were researching names for this business venture, we spent long hours in the office and over many meals bouncing shop names around. Dority's Antiques was not enough. We wanted to express to you how much we love antiques and vintage collectibles and how comfortable you should feel while you shop with us.

So we looked around at what made us comfortable, what we found special about our shop. It was our beagle, Tish! As usual she was helping out by sleeping near the desk. Thus Dority's Sleeping Beagle Antiques & Collectibles was named.

'Tish: who is the sleeping beagle, is in charge of all major decisions including when to eat, sleep, and howl. She owns the Dority's.

Bob: has a lifetime of antiquing experience to offer. By the time he was in kindergarten, he was exploring and gathering with his dad in Victorian homes that were about to meet the wrecking ball. Over the years he has developed many specific areas of interest in his collections including, but not limited to, Coca-Cola, funeral memorabilia, and toys.

Janis: began antiquing by spending a great deal of time at Perterson's Antiques in Corona. "Mrs. Perterson had a sign on the shop door that read 'No Children Today Please.' However, she apparently didn't mean me. I was allowed to roam their shop with Cookie their Boston Terrier by my side. When we were married, Bob and I continued and merged our collections including Coca-Cola memorabilia, farm toys, holiday items, kitchenalia, and much more."
